A Better Song...

By Ron Rosenberg

As you work through all of the challenges facing you in your business and your personal life, one thing that can help bring clarity is an understanding of your "core competencies" - the special gifts, talents, and abilities you bring to the table that make you truly unique.

When you utilize these skills effectively, not only do you get better results, but you also feel better about what you're doing and what you accomplish.

I happened to come across an interview with musician John Mayer, where he was talking about a song he wrote many years ago, called "3...

"I Have a Dream!"

By Lorie Rosenberg

Those immortal words came from Martin Luther King's famous speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963, during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. He delivered his message to over 200,000 civil rights supporters. This speech has made its mark on history and has become a shining symbol of the pursuit of civil rights in America.

I actually had never read King's entire speech before today and if you haven't either, then it's time you did. It's not only a beautifully written piece, it's a testament to the power of the written...

A True Recipe for Success!

By Lorie Rosenberg

Ron and I were having a discussion the other day about all the things we've tried and know how to do. It was kind of fun. I started with scuba diving, skiing, swimming, cooking, gardening, flying trapeze, writing, graphics, and jewelry making, to name a few.

I was saying that I felt so blessed that I had tried these things and were able to do them. It also makes life seem fuller when you realize what you've accomplished and that that you've done things other people don't even want to try. Also, the knowledge you've gained can be...

Will 2012 Be Your Best Year Ever?

By Ron Rosenberg

It's that time of year again - the end of a traditional holiday season that includes food, family, and hopefully a bit of fun.

The downside of the holidays is that along with all the merriment comes a subtle but definite lack of focus on the business side of our lives. Oh, I know you may have been working, but doesn't it seem like everyone else took the last two weeks of December off completely?!

Well, there are no more excuses any more - everyone should be back to work now - including you!

And while I'm not...

Shaking Out the Rug

By Lorie Rosenberg

Last year at this time, we celebrated the holidays in Club Med Punta Cana, where our son was working at the time. It was a great place to ring in the New Year!

This year we decided that we wanted to spend time at home and do what people call a "Staycation." We plan to take the week between Christmas and New Year's off, relax around the house, and get to some of the tasks that we've been putting off throughout the year.

The first thing I plan to do is clean my office and file papers. Filing is...

Learn From the Masters!

By Ron Rosenberg
The end of the year is generally a time for celebration as we get together with friends and family - many of whom travel great distances to be with the people most important to them.

There is also the usual Christmas music, with the same 15 or 20 songs being played in the stores over and over again in different variations. I honestly don't know how the people who work in these stores keep their sanity, since this music seems to start as early as October!

So to give you a break, let's switch to a different genre of...

Step Back on the Curb

By Lorie Rosenberg

Ron and I had the opportunity to visit a really good friend in Tucson, AZ, during a trip to Scottsdale, AZ, where Ron presented a program called, Double Your Memory in 90 Minutes, at the WSCA Cooperative Development Conference.

Since our kids are no longer at home, I get to travel with Ron when he is presenting at some great locations, and his program was at a very beautiful hotel called the FireSky Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ.

What I enjoy so much about traveling and visiting people is that you always learn something new. Ron and I...

Led Zeppelin is Sick!

By Ron Rosenberg

If you recognize Led Zeppelin:

You're over the age of 45 and grew up with this music.
You appreciate what's now known as "Classic Rock."

In case you don't know who's Robert Plant and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, they are arguably one of the premier rock groups of the 1970s.

I'm sharing this with you not to reminisce about my youth or to complain that "they just don't make music like that any more..." but rather to share an interesting observation that may help you in your own marketing efforts.

My daughter was home from college for the Thanksgiving break, and...
